Music Video Research Task

Lily Allen - Hard out here shows the typical women in music videos, it is highly provocative and shows how women are portreyed in videos at its peak. In the video it starts with Lily Allen having treatment (Lyposuction) the video moves to a stage where Women are moving in ways you would find in Pornography, the women during the video lick there hands and perform sedictive motions that include them stroking breasts and rubbing the vaginal area.

My second video shows Women being treated in a way where they are not treated and looked at sexualy and have class. Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the heart shows a women with clothes on throughout the video.Bonnie Tyler is looked upon in the video by topless men as an object of desire but is more classy and have a more appropriate look for the viewers.

In many rap videos women have no identity except as sexual playthings and "eye candy
it represents a typical women in most music videos to the present day.
A lot the time the women in these videos are treated as sex slaves by the artist, In videos like Candy shop you see a number of women dressed in Thongs and Bra's trying to get with the artist in a provocative manor. The women in videos are usually thrown out the way for the main girl to be shown, this also places the other women as unwanted and basically have no meaning or identity to the video, rendering them use less,thus leaving them only as eye candy.
The main girl will then be shown in the video with the artist the majority of the time. This would include explicit scenes showing the girl dancing on the artist or touching him in a sexual way. 

In these videos Men are the dominating gender showing the women weak and worthless.
Overall I believe that the way women are treated in these videos is vulgar and unpleasant to both them and the viewer.
